“Economic Insights” Seminar, Dinner & Q&A: on Wednesday 22nd November 2023, the Council welcomed a high-calibre audience to its inaugural seminar “Economic Insights” which sought to address key questions regarding economic trends as well as challenges and opportunities facing the UK, the EU and other key economies around the world.

Organised in collaboration with Lewington Wealth Management https://lewingtonwealth.co.uk/ , the financial advisory firm, in the Wine Cellars of the excellent Stafford Hotel in St James’s, the event was addressed by our Chairman, Peter Droussiotis, with speeches from Ryan Caunt, Principal Adviser, Lewington Wealth Management, and guest speaker, Steven Bell, Chief Economist at Columbia Threadneedle, the leading global asset management group, https://www.columbiathreadneedle.com/en/.

The speeches, dinner and Q&A sessions were preceded by wine tasting of select white and red wines in the Cellars of the hotel.

The initiative, which will inaugurate regular events on economic issues and developments, is part of the Council’s mission to foster organic networks of investors, financial institutions, businesses, and professional people and to provide a framework for a regular dialogue between them.

It is also driven by the Council’s focus on events which nurture, celebrate and leverage talent in the most important Cypriot diaspora of more than 300,000 people in Britain.

The event was honoured with the presence of an amazing selection of such people and this led to a good and lively debate as well as excellent networking opportunities.
